Is a passionate adventurer, researcher and photographer who has been drawn to the mysteries and teachings of ancient civilizations and indigenous cultures for most of his life.
Being of Greek origin, his curiosity (naturally) started with researching ancient Hellenic archelogy and cultures, to deconstructing the lessons left to us in mythologies about epic heroes – like Odysseus and Hercules – and the pantheon of Gods.

He has also walked through the Amazon jungles in search of various indigenous tribes looking for their cultures, symbols, language and history. He has found and spoken with over 500 indigenous tribes in the American continent from Alaska to Chile. South America and especially Peru and Bolivia are for him the most interesting and mysterious countries of what he has seen on the whole planet he has traveled. 

He has written 4 books that talk about the indigenous tribes of North Central and South America as well as about the lost Atlantis, when it was, who lived there, and where they went after the sinking of the island.
After coming to Canada in the 70s, his tireless quest to understand the past drew him to start researching and experiencing the indigenous cultures of the Americas: the hundreds of First Nations communities in Canada and the United States, then further South into the Aztecs of Northern Mexico, the Mayans of the Yucatan and Central America, and finally the Inca and Quechua of Peru.

Like a modern chronicler, Fotios has immersed himself in historical archives, conversed with wise elders and historians across Europe and the Americas, and has traveled around the world to walk along the same trails as these ancient peoples. His passion for archology and anthropology is reflected in every image he captures with his camera, and his reverence for the past is palpable with each evocative story he shares back with the world.
